Why "Old Timber" Matters? The Secret of High-Quality Rosewood Furniture
Share
The biggest enemy of solid wood furniture is climate change—dry winters, humid summers, and long shipping journeys can cause cracking and warping. This is why many importers struggle with quality.
Our solution? Demolition house old timber. Whether it is the stability of aged Burmese Padauk or the legendary hardness of old-growth Siamese Rosewood, we source only proven materials. For Pterocarpus Erinaceus and East Indian Rosewood, we specifically select slow-growth logs with tight, interlocked wood grain that prevents cracking during dry winters.
Using old timber is also upcycling. We are not cutting down new trees. Instead, we give precious retired wood a second life as heirloom furniture.
Look closely at our finish: the deep, rich wood grain you see cannot be faked by any factory. It is the fingerprint of time itself. Every piece is carefully kiln-dried to adapt to Western climates before crafting.
